Michelle Yoder is clinical director of her own pediatric occupational therapy practice in Charlotte, North Carolina, and co-creator of Fundanoodle.
Michelle is an Ohio State University graduate whose specialty areas include certification to administer and interpret the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT). In addition to being a certified infant massage instructor, she is also trained in:
- Therapeutic listening
- The interactive metronome method
- The SOS feeding approach
Michelle continues to stay abreast of the latest research related to sensory processing disorders. Her career/life goals include performing research with children with sensory processing disorders and serving underprivileged children and the communities in which they live.
Amy Bumgarner is an occupational therapist in Charlotte, North Carolina, and co-creator of Fundanoodle.
A graduate of North Carolina State University and East Carolina University, Amy’s occupational therapy specialty areas include:
- sensory processing disorders
- autism and
- therapeutic listening
Amy's career/life goals include continuing specialization in sensory integration and autism and continued development and support for Fundanoodle.
Jennifer Weaver-Spencer has worked as an editor, writer, and project manager in educational publishing and technology since 1997. She has extensive experience leading publishing teams and managing projects from concept to finished product. She has developed and edited books, games, educational technology, and other products for classroom instruction and student use.
Jennifer holds a Master of Arts in English and Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Jennifer lives in North Carolina with her husband and daughter.
Sara Erwin is a graduate of the University of North Carolina – Charlotte and received her master͛s degree from Middle Tennessee State. She spent her career teaching special education and professional crises management. Sara is committed to creating products that adhere to the Common Core Standards and meet a child at their learning level.
Sara lives in Georgia and is the mother of a toddler and two elementary students.
Cherie grew up knowing she wanted to be a teacher so she went right into education at DePauw University. After graduation, she began her teaching career in Charlotte, NC. Cherie has taught Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade. While working with these Little Learners, Cherie realized the importance of handwriting and the development of fine motor skill. She sees firsthand the issues that arise because children are spending more and more time in front of a screen.
Melissa is an elementary educator in Charlotte, NC. After participating in several Fundanoodle focus groups, she joined the team as our summer camp expert. Melissa has developed the curriculum for our ͞Play the ͚Write͛ Way!͟ and ͞I Can Do Cursive!͟ camp programs, as well as teaching the classes for several years. She is passionate about handwriting and is a huge advocate for keeping cursive instruction in the classroom.

From Armadillo to Zebra, Max the Monkey is hands-down the most fun animal anywhere, and undoubtedly the biggest fan of learning. Max is bananas about letters and numbers and loves to share his appreciation and zeal. Alphie is an adventurer and explorer who also has an affinity and zest for letters and numbers and use happens to be Max’s best friend. He’s a master of the alphabet and enjoys helping others write correctly too!
